the aromatics are a bit muted
nutty and with a salty twist in the finish
A stunning wine for this vintage although it’s still a bit shy on the nose (more spice than fruit showing than now)
A perfect marriage between the usual full bodied character of a Frank Phelan and the tannic density of the varietals
the Nizza Favà shows a beautiful intense ruby red color
Chateau Clerc-Milon, Pauillac, France 2015 Alta Vista the aromatics are a bitExtremely floral with blackberry and blueberry character plus hints of violets. Full bodied yet always in check and reserve with fine tannins and bright acidity that goes on for minutes. Limestone undertones. The finish is particularly long this vintage. Super Clerc. 95 Pts James Suckling
