delicate wine dominated by Morello cherry and blackberry aromas

It's taut and fresh but with actual weight and depth on the finish

chocolate and spice along with a bushel of ripe blackberries and currants offer up their fragrance with no effort

which technically makes it a Daiginjo

and blueberry preserves followed by hints of tapenade

2023 | Daniel Chotard Sancerre Lieu dit Les Coutones | Loire Tintito delicate wine dominated by MorelloLes Coutones comes from a steep parcel where the soil is so rich in clay that after the rain, it affixes itself to ones boots. That clay keeps cool a site that otherwise faces abundant sun, a balance that allows its fruit a longer ripening phase. The result is full of finesse, the nose exuberant, yet restrained; unripened pineapple, clover, tangerinefull of zest that hints at summer, but remains fresh and green.
